2017 NFL draft: Live Seahawks updates from the final day, rounds 4-7

We’re back for the final day of the NFL draft. After the Seahawks kept everyone busy with six picks and a trade on Friday, they’ve got five more selections today. The Hawks own the fourth pick of the fourth round, No. 111 overall, which gets under way at 9 a.m. Keep it tuned here for live coverage.

9:25 a.m.

The Seahawks continue their run on drafting defense into the draft’s third day. They spend their fourth-round pick on Colorado safety Tedric Thompson.

FRIDAY

4:10 p.m.

Day 2 of the NFL draft is under way. To kick things off, the Green Bay Packers selected UW’s star CB Kevin King. The Seahawks then traded the No. 34 pick to Jacksonville for the No. 35 pick and a sixth-round pick.

4:30 p.m.

The Seahawks finally made a pick, selecting DT Malik McDowell out of Michigan State with the No. 35 pick in the NFL draft. Bob Condotta has more on McDowell here. Jayson Jenks breaks down what McDowell brings to the Seahawks.

With the No. 95 overall pick, the Seahawks select S Delano Hill out of Michigan.

With the No. 102 overall pick, the Seahawks select DL Nazair Jones out of UNC.

8:35 p.m.

With the No. 106 overall pick, the Seahawks select WR Amara Darboh out of Michigan.

The Seahawks have plenty of needs to address in this year’s draft, and with a slew of picks in the first few rounds, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to find talent at those areas of need. The most glaring needs for Seattle are in their secondary and along the offensive line.
